RUSHVILLE — Pendleton Heights outgained Rushville in total yards, but it hardly mattered on the scoreboard Friday night.
Rushville returned three interceptions for touchdown and one fumble for a score as the Lions rolled to a 76-41 victory.
The Arabians outgained the Lions 418-388 and Nathan Frazier ran for two touchdowns, from five and one yards out.
PH used two quarterbacks, each throwing a TD pass. Mitch Patishall completed half of his 16 attempts, the scoring aerial going to Brad McNeil, but he was intercepted four times. Grant Hendershot was intercepted once while completing 11 of 21 passes for 123 yards. His scoring strike went for 13 yards to Tyler Kennedy.
Evan Groninger scored on a 37-yard run and was the leading Arabian rusher, getting 84 yards on six carries.
Pendleton Heights is 2-6 and hosts Highland next Friday.
Marion 28, Anderson 27
The Indians lost to their North Central Conference rivals to fall to 2-6 on the year and 2-4 in the NCC.
Nolan Earley led the Indians with 130 yards on 14 rushes and three touchdowns. The senior returned to the quarterback position with a 4-for-15 passing night for 75 yards.
Scooter Perine scored the Indians’ fourth touchdown on the night.
Trey White gained 98 yards on 17 attempts for the Indians.
AHS trailed 21-14 at the half. The Indians would tie the game at 21-21 with 6:43 remaining in the third quarter.
Marion would go back in front 28-21 on a Michael Marble touchdown reception from quarterback Thomas Barnes with :28.4 left in the third.
Anderson would get a touchdown with 3:47 to go in the game as Earley scored from two yards out. But the extra point was wide and Anderson still trailed by one point, 28-27.
