Wildkats topple Indians

Anderson fell to 0-3 on the season as they lost their first North Central Conference game of the year, Friday at Kokomo 54-28.

The Indians and Wildkats were tied at the half at 28 on a pair of touchdown passes and a scoring run of 30 yards from Trey White.

The Wildkats ran early and often as the host school totted the ball 65 times as a team for 495 yards and all eight Kokomo touchdowns came via the ground game.

Indians senior quarterback Nolan Earley returned to the lineup after missing last week with an injury. He completed 13 of 23 passes for 290 yards and three touchdowns.

Junior wideout Tre Jackson caught five passes for 171 yards and a pair of touchdowns on pass plays of 68 and 74 yards.

White finished the game with 80 yards on four carries to lead the Indians.

Anderson (0-3 and 0-1 NCC) travels to Richmond for a conference game with the Red Devils.

In other football news, Highland defeated Owen Valley 56-22 on the road Friday night. No other details were available at press time.
