I will be the first to admit that I have not been highly educated; however, I have taken the time and trouble to think about all the fussing that has gone on and this is my opinion.

The USA was not founded on a natural border nor by clan control. We are the first nation to begin with an idea. I believe that our Constitution is, by its very nature, socialistic, our laws are democratic, our economy capitalism and our lives liberal. We make it work.

All other nations, like us, exist because of our first example. But, we have always been socialistic. We guarantee an education for our young, offer health care and decent shelter and food to the poor, and provide for our seniors and disabled. Many of our working class have benefited from unions. Socialism.

Mainly, this has been taken care of by our middle class but, because of greed, our middle class has become smaller; and not because they are richer. The loss of well paying middle-class jobs means loss of health care. A change must come. Since corporations will not do it on their own, government must intervene. This is the only way I can see to restore the middle class.

If you need proof of what a nation becomes when it does not educate or provide for its citizens, look to the Middle East. Look at Afghanistan. I think they are the way they are because only a few are educated, only a few receive medical care and only a few eat every day.
