Letter: Diners support club’s scholarship funds

— Soroptimist International of Anderson held a successful fundraising dinner at Garfield’s Restaurant on Oct. 28. We want to thank Jana Erli and her staff at Garfield’s for their assistance with this project. They are always very helpful and friendly. Thanks also to the many patrons for eating at Garfield’s in support of our organization and the restaurant. The proceeds will be used to help fund our Violet Richardson Award for volunteerism, Virginia M. Wagner Educational Grant and the Women’s Opportunity Award to benefit local women and girls.
The Anderson Soroptimist Club has been serving the Anderson area for 56 years. Anyone wishing information about the Soroptimist Club and membership can contact Cheryl Calder at 643-8598.
