I would like to thank Mr. Bob Hodge for writing in about the semi truck drivers. This is something that I have been wanting to do for over a year but didn’t think anything would ever be done about it.

Last year my husband and I were on our way to Louisiana and having to run an errand in Indy we ended up going around Interstate 465 to go south. During this trip around Indy we were almost run off the road three different times by semi trucks. Most of the trucks we encountered were tailgating and were going well over the speed limit. Once we crossed the state line we had no more trouble.

Coming back, less than three miles inside the Indiana state line, we were almost run off the road again. I believe that the Indiana State Police is more concerned about us wearing seat belts and they are ignoring the speeding trucks. Everyone knows that if a semi hits you, it will not matter if you are wearing a seat belt or not. You would think that after all these fatalities something would be done. PLEASE stop these speeding, tailgating and lane changing trucks!
