INDOT to patch I-69 Monday

The Indiana Department of Transportation will patch worn pavement in the northbound passenger lane of Interstate 69 between Indiana 38 and Indiana 67 on Monday and Tuesday. Beginning at the 20-mile marker, state crews will grind away several inches of pavement depth and fill with new hot mix asphalt. Approximately 20 spot locations along a three-mile section of roadway in Madison County — ending at the 23-mile marker — will be repaired during daylight hours. Motorists should expect traffic restrictions between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. each day. The work zone will be marked by message boards, arrow boards and cones that direct single-lane traffic to the passing lane.

DLGF provides county tax bill estimator tool

The Department of Local Government Finance, in partnership with the Indiana Business Research Center at Indiana University, has released an online property tax calculator for Madison County taxpayers. This tool allows taxpayers to enter their property’s assessed value, taxing district and possible deductions to see tax bill estimates for bills due in 2008. Taxpayers can access the tool from the Department’s Web site at www.in.gov/dlgf/4932.htm.
