Umpire Computer Repair moves

ANDERSON — Umpire Computer Repair has moved into the Suite 333 in the Union Building, 1106 Meridian St. The business also has added a new conference room and increased the size of its lab.

Umpire has hired early evening and weekend technicians to meet the needs of its clients. Both technicians have more than 10 years working on large network systems and will work on-site or at the Umpire office. New office hours are 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and by appointment Saturday and Sunday.

Loan fund established for businesses

MUNCIE — The Indiana Small Business Development Center, Energize-ECI Inc. and the U.S. Department of Agriculture collaborated to make available a new Rural Revolving Loan Fund program to qualifying businesses in east central Indiana.

Applicants must be registered at SBDC clients, have completed business plans and have received a recent loan “turn-down” letter from a bank. For more information, contact the East Central Indiana Small Business Development Center at 282-9950 or eastcentral@isbdc.org.

May named ‘Hometown Hero’

CARMEL — Steven May, director of Anderson University Dining Services, has been recognized by Carmel’s Williams Comfort Air as a Hometown Hero, part of the company’s ExtraordinAIRy Treasures community recognition program. Williams Comfort Air presented May with a $500 check and donated $500 to Saint John’s Health System in honor of May.

Elden Creative Group logo featured

ANDERSON — The work of Elden Creative Group, an Anderson creative firm, has been featured on a prominent logo design Web site called “Logo of the Day.” All chosen logos are judged on their design and concept, creativity, scalability, appropriateness, usability and memorability.

Suds Express to begin food drive

ANDERSON — Suds Express Laundry on East Eighth Street will have a Thanksgiving food drive to help local people in need. Between Monday and Nov. 25, any customer who brings in a bag of food will receive a free wash cycle.

Carquest donates to coats program

NEW CASTLE — Carquest Products Inc., of New Castle, presented the Henry County Builders Association with a check for $2,043 to go toward its Coats from the Heart program, which has given 178 coats to date to Henry County children in need.
