ASO Friends selling books at concert
The ASO Friends will sell a variety of new books during the intermission of the Anderson Symphony Orchestra’s Halloween concert this evening at the Paramount Theatre. All books are $5 and include cookbooks, how-to books and other nonfiction titles.
Dan’s Fish Fry Saturday in Alex
A Dan’s all-you-can-eat fish and chicken fry will be served from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the Nazarene Church in Alexandria, 1401 N. Harrison St. Cost is $8.50 for adults, $5 for children ages 5-11 and those under the age of five eat free. Carryout available.
Fourth Bingo Blitz on Monday
The fourth annual Hopewell Center Bingo Blitz sponsored by Dennis Mallernee Painting and Plastering will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Anderson High School.
There will be cash prizes ranging from $200 to $500. A bonus game sponsored by Community Hospital of Anderson will be played for a cash prize of $1,000.
A ticket price of $25 ($30 the day of the event) entitles you to a meal from Lee’s Famous Recipe Chicken and 10 bingo games. There will also be peeler games, a 50/50 raffle, and door prizes to enjoy. Dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m. and the games will begin at 6:30 p.m.
