— Today: Fifth annual Mounds Mall Halloween Extravaganza — 5 to 7 p.m. Admission is free. The mall provides 300 pumpkins for decorating for children 12 and under, a costume contest for children 12 and under starting at 6:30 p.m. Night Stalkers will have live snakes, spiders, rats and other creatures on display. Sponsors are Mounds Mall, WERK FM and MAX Classic Rock.
— Today: Trunk or Treat — 6 p.m., Lone Oak Wesleyan Church, 486 N. 500W, Anderson. Solve a Bible mystery, prizes, treats and eats. No charge.
— Thursday: Trunk or Treat — 6-8 p.m., Middletown Church of the Nazarene. Three shows at 6, 6:45 and 7:30 p.m. will be conducted by Dan Wetzel. Witness his eye-popping ability to handle a basketball beginning in the main sanctuary. There will be blowups, candy and soft serve ice cream. The church is located at 698 N. Fifth St., Middletown.
— Thursday: Trick or Treat — 5:30 to 7 p..m., Community Northview, 1235 W. Cross St. Doughnuts, cider and each child will receive a treat bag full of goodies. The event is free.
— Friday: Trick or Treat — 5 to 7 p.m., Good’s Candy Shop, 1423 W. 53rd St. All kids 12 and under are invited to trick or treat All kids in costume receive Good’s Halloween candy.
— Friday: Free Halloween Open House — 5 to 7 p.m., Allen Chapel AME Church, 1610 Sheridan St. All ages can join in for some free Halloween candy, treats, crafts, and a meal. Learn about you and I are like the Changed Pumpkin. For more information call (765) 642-3328.
— Friday: Trunk & Treat— 6 to 8 p..m., Cross Roads United Methodist Church, 2000 N. Scatterfield Road. Hayrides for everyone.
— Friday: Pumpkin display - Thousands of wooden pumpkin carvings display on County Road 200 West between Indiana 128 and 28 between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m.
— Friday: Second annual “Treats Across the USA” — 6-8 p.m., East Side Church of God, Anderson. Children, fifth grade and younger, and their adult traveling companion will journey “interstates and highways” in the church. Treats will be offered at doors inside the church decorated to represent each of the 50 states. The event is free. Children are encouraged to come in costume. — Friday and Saturday: “Youth on Fire” presents “Haunted Lives” — A walk through life’s choices and their consequences: peer pressure, violence, drugs, alcohol, drunken driving, domestic abuse. 7 to 11 p.m., First Pentecostal Church, 630 W. 53rd St., Anderson. Tickets are $5 per person and available at the door. The event is not suitable for children under the age of 10. Concessions are available for purchase in the church foyer. — Friday: Madison Park Church of God invites the community to its Eighth annual Trunk-N-Treat event from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31, at Madison Park Church, East 67th Street and Columbus Avenue, Anderson.
The free event brings families and neighbors together for a fun alternative to the traditional “house to house” trick or treating. Church members create an entertaining, festival-like setting with creatively decorated cars, vans, and trucks, concessions and a free live concert. Walking tacos, hamburgers, hotdogs, cookies, and hot and cold drinks will be sold to benefit Dove Harbor Woman’s Shelter, a nonprofit ministry for women in crisis. Families are invited to stroll from “trunk to trunk” while children collect sweet treats.

— 36th annual Stonycreek Pumpkin Harvest Festival — 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily through Friday, Stonycreek Pumpkin Farm, 11366 Ind. 38 East, Noblesville. No parking fee Monday through Friday, $5 fee on Saturday and Sunday. Some activities include the hayride to the pumpkin patch, a haunted house for youngsters, gourd slingshot, corn cob cannon, Kiddiepillar, candle-making, farm animals, and more. Featured will be various organizations with booths, games, refreshments and door prizes, as well as a costume contest. There is no charge for children 12 and younger to attend. — Trails of Terror Haunted Woods — 2742 E. 1100S, Markleville. Participants wind through five acres of dark, foggy woods, where they encounter horrendous creatures and serial killers.
