Active, retired employees to meet
National Active and Retired Federal Employees Chapter 36 will meet at noon Thursday at Perkins Restaurant, 5033 S. Scatterfield Road, Anderson. The speaker will be Shanmarie Unverzagt of Anthem Blue Cross.
All active and retired federal employees are welcome.
School rummage Thursday, Friday
The Associates of Anderson Christian School will have its biannual rummage, craft and bake sale from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the school, 2625 Lindberg Road, Anderson. The Associates are a group of Christian women who donate their time to promote Christian education.
A large selection of clothing for all ages, including a large selection of baby clothes, shoes, a water bed, household goods, books and toys will be offered. All the items are donated. Baked goods and crafts will also be sold.
Longaberger Bingo set for Thursday
East Elementary, 893 E. U.S. 36, Pendleton, will host its third annual Longaberger Bingo night on Thursday. Doors will open at 5:45 p.m., and bingo starts at 6:30 p.m.
Advance tickets are on sale for $15 at the school office, or may be purchased the night of the event at the door for $20. Senior (over 65) tickets are $12 in advance and $17 at the door.
Concessions will be available throughout the night. All proceeds from Longaberger Bingo are earmarked for the teachers and students of East Elementary School.
This event is for those 18 and over.
