Moody gets degree in music therapy
Sarah (Finger) Moody graduated from the University of Louisville in June with a bachelor’s degree in music therapy, which culminated in an internship at Bi-County Services in Bluffton. She is employed with Opportunities for Positive Growth Inc. of Fishers as a board certified music therapist serving Anderson, Pendleton and Southern Madison County as well as Greenfield and Northern Hancock County.
Her husband, Ben Moody, graduated from the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy Basic Training in August. He is employed by the Ingalls Police Department, where his responsibilities include night shift patrol, reserve supervisor, evidence room supervisor, and National Incident Management System coordinator. The couple resides in Pendleton.
Withers honored by Merit program
The principal of Liberty Christian School, Shannon Dare, has announced that Jonathan M. Withers has been named a commended student in the 2009 National Merit Scholarship Program. A letter of commendation from the school and Nation Merit Scholarship Corporation, which conducts the program, will be presented by the principal to this scholastically talented senior.
About 34,000 commended students throughout the nation are being recognized for their exceptional academic promise. Commended students placed among the top five percent of more than 1.5 million students who entered the 2009 competition by taking the 2007 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
