The Lay Organization of Allen Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church, 1610 Sheridan St., will hold its annual Lay Day service on Sunday at 11 a.m. Guest speaker will be the Rev. Edward E. Foggs. Refreshments will be furnished after the service. For more information, call (765) 642-3328.
Outdoor concert set for Saturday
There will be a free outdoor concert at Morning Star Church, 2867 N. 200E, in Anderson beginning at 3 p.m. Saturday. There will be a showing of a DVD about miracles of God at 4:30 p.m. inside the church, and then a second concert at the outdoor stage at 7:30 p.m. Guests are asked to bring their own lawn chairs and a sack dinner.
Kaiser to speak at AU’s Miller Chapel
Dr. Walter Kaiser, Jr., president emeritus and Colman M. Mockler distinguished professor of Old Testament, Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, will be speaking in Miller Chapel at 11 a.m. Tuesday for the School of Theology Chapel. Jean and Sidney Johnson will be present as chaplains-in-residence.
‘Old-time religion’ planned for Sunday
An 1805 church service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at Mounds State Park. The theme will be “Which Way Did They Go?” and is part of Mounds Pioneer Harvest Weekend. Admission to the park is $5 per car ($7 out-of-state vehicles).
Unity message planned for service
New Life Apostolic Church will present unity of the churches in Anderson on Sunday at 4:30 p.m. The public is welcome, and refreshments will be served immediately following service. The address is 2230 Jefferson St., Anderson. For information, call (765) 644-1152. The guest speaker will be the Bishop Bernice Tolbert of Miracle Faith Temple Church, Anderson. The choir and congregation will also be featured.

Church Upon the Rock’s Men’s Day
Church Upon the Rock Missionary Baptist Church will celebrate its Men’s Day at 3:30 p.m. Sunday. Guest speaker will be Pastor Marcus Cooley of Rhema Word Ministry. The public is invited.
New Faith to hold Fall Fest on Sunday
Fall Fest will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at New Faith Fellowship, 110 W. Central Way, Pendleton. Evangelist Randy Stokes from Plainfield will be preaching.
