Carter honored by Episcopal district
Anderson native, the Rev. Michael O. Carter, was recently named the new presiding elder of the Little Rock-Hot Springs District by Bishop Louis Hunter Sr., the presiding prelate. He was chosen at the 125th session of the Arkansas Annual Conference held in August in Little Rock.
Carter is a former member of Wallace Temple AME Zion Church and now resides in Little Rock, Ark.
Bailey-Pratt has photos in show
Two prints and two albums created by Nancy Bailey-Pratt of Nancy’s Photography in Anderson have been accepted into the Collection of the 116th International Exhibition of Professional Photography.
One of her prints, an Italian landscape titled “Villas and Vineyards,” was accepted into the loan collection. Another print, titled “Crossing the Line,” an image of high school senior Brandi Williams, was accepted into the general collection book which will be printed and delivered in January.
The two albums created by Bailey-Pratt, one of high school senior Stephanie Brown and the other of the wedding of Tiffany Shockley and Eric McClurg, were accepted into Professional Photographers of America’s general collection. Her work will be on display at the Tampa Convention Center Jan. 6-8 in Tampa, Fla. This exhibition is in conjunction with Imaging USA, an annual convention of more than 8,000 professional photographers and several photographic associations.
