GRISSOM AIR RESERVE BASE — Air Force Reserve Tech. Sgt. Daniel Huff, a resident of Lafayette, recently earned an associate of science degree in fire science from Columbia Southern University in Orange Beach, Ala.
The son of Neil Huff of Anderson, he is fire protection specialist with the 434th Civil Engineer Squadron at Grissom and has nine years of military service.
As a fire protection specialist, Huff conducts inspections and issues permits for the control of hazardous materials, reviews building plans and new construction projects to ensure compliance with fire and safety standards and participates in programs to help educate the public on fire and safety issues.
He graduated from Hamilton Southeaster High School, Fishers, in 1993 and received his first associate’s degree from the Community College of the Air Force in 2005.
In his civilian occupation, he is a firefighter and paramedic for the Pittsboro Fire Department in Pittsboro.
