Legion pork chop dinner Saturday
The Frankton American Legion Post 469 will host a pork chop dinner beginning at 4 p.m. Saturday. Cost is $6 for pork chop, cottage fries, green beans and roll. Carryouts are available by calling (765) 754-3311.
Hospital auxiliary to host watch sale
Community Hospital Anderson’s Auxiliary will host a BTC watch sale on Thursday, July 10, and Friday, July 11, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the hospital’s outpatient lobby. All money raised goes toward contributions the auxiliary makes to the hospital and the community. For more information, call (765) 298-5100.
July 4th events set at Solar Lodge
The Solar Masonic Lodge 734, 4220 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., will have its annual Flag Dedication at 6 a.m. Friday. Then on Saturday, an all-you-can-eat breakfast will be cooked by Paul Hughes, PM, and Junior Warden. The meal will include biscuits and sausage gravy, scrambled eggs, fruit, ham, grits, coffee, orange juice and apple juice. Farmers market at New Horizons UMC
Local growers will offer fruits and vegetables for sale Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon at New Horizons United Methodist Church, 611 E. 53rd St., Anderson. Some of the items available this week may include green beans, beets, new potatoes, onions, kale, cabbage, sugar peas, zucchini, raspberries, early apples and green tomatoes. Other items will include brown eggs, baked goods, potted perennials and cut flowers.
Jamerson to play before parade
The Midnight Parade Pre-Party Jam will be held from 9 to 11 p.m. Thursday at the Anderson Town Center. Casey Jamerson, with special guest The Danny Frazier Band, will be the featured live entertainment.
Tenderloin Club to meet on Thursday
