Applications being accepted for fair
The Pendleton Fall Heritage Craft and Arts Fair, held each year in Falls Park, Pendleton, will be Sept. 5-6. People who would like a booth should send their name, address and craft to Century and a Half Club, P.O. Box 183, Pendleton, IN 46064.
Art curators to speak at meeting
The Women’s League of The Anderson Center for the Arts will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday at The Anderson Center for the Arts located at 32 W. 10th St. The program will consist of information about exhibitions, permanent collection and classes at The Anderson and will be presented by Lauren Dickos, curator of permanent collection/education coordinator, and Beth Chico, curator of exhibitions.
The public is welcome to attend the meetings.
YMCA to host youth science camp
The YMCA will host a science camp July 14-25 for boys and girls ages 6-12. The camp will be held daily Monday through Friday from 1 to 3 p.m. Cost is $40 for YMCA members and $55 for nonmembers. The camp will be held at 2604 N. Scatterfield Road, Anderson. For more information, call (765) 644-7796.
Weight loss plan at Community
Community Hospital Anderson is offering a 10-week weight loss class, open to the public. The class is taught by a registered dietitian, and meets once a week for 10 weeks. Meeting dates are June 4, 11, 18 and 25, July 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 and Aug. 6. Meetings will be at 8 a.m. or noon and will last 30 minutes. The cost is $75. Participants will receive education sessions, an individualized meal plan, dining out guide and weigh-ins. The program is designed and instructed by a registered dietitian and a registered nurse. Space is limited to the first 20 registered individuals. The class will be held in the Diabetes Care Center located in the lower level of the 1601 Building, on the Community Anderson campus.
