Senior Travelers to take in Indians game

The Anderson Parks & Recreation Department, Senior Travelers will be taking a bus trip to Indianapolis on Wednesday, June 4, to see the Indianapolis Indians take on the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs (Philadelphia Phillies). The bus will leave the Geater Center, 1611 Chase St., at noon. Cost of the trip is $15 and includes transportation and box seats at the game. The trip is for people 55 and over, handicap seats have been reserved for people unable to walk the steps. Registration deadline is Thursday and seating is limited, so residents are advised to reserve their place now. Registration is being taken at the Geater Center. Cadiz Class of 1958 to be honored at banquet

The Cadiz Alumni Banquet will be held on Saturday, June 14. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. for social time with classmates. Dinner at 6 p.m. will be catered by Julia Miller. Tickets are $15. Deadline is June 1. Reservations must be made. Class of 1958 will be honored with classes 1948 and 1938 recognized. Everyone welcomed. Cincinnati Reds game trips planned for summer

The Anderson Parks and Recreation Department has scheduled the annual Cincinnati Reds baseball game trips. The first game will be June 1 against the Atlanta Braves. The second game, against the New York Mets, will be July 20. Tickets are available for purchase for $45 at the Parks Department Office, 101 E. Miriam Project hosts Adoptive Families Picnic celebration

The Miriam Project, a Christian adoption agency in Madison County, will host its seventh annual Transracial/Transcultural Adoptive Family Celebration Picnic on Saturday, June 7, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Shadyside Park in Anderson. All transracial and transcultural adoptive families are welcome.

Free health programs for senior citizens

Join Community Hospital Anderson’s Senior Access program and reap in the benefits — health insurance counseling, discounts in the hospital gift shop, free monthly health seminars. Community Hospital Anderson’s services for seniors will be highlighted at the next Senior Access meeting on Wednesday. This program will be held at Community Hospital Anderson’s Education Center, 1923 N. Madison Ave., from 3 to 4 p.m. Refreshments will be served. For more information or to register, call (765) 298-5100. All of these benefits and more are available free of charge to those 55 and older. It’s easy to become a member of Senior Access. Simply call (765) 298-2534 and an enrollment form will be mailed.
