Variety show Friday at Lapel H.S.
The annual Lapel High School Variety Show will take place at 7:30 p.m. Friday in the auditorium. The format for the variety show will be different because of the new venue, and because of the separation from the middle school. Dinner will be served beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the school’s commons area, with dessert to be served during the intermission. There is an admission fee for the show and a separate fee for dinner and dessert. The Variety Show is a big fundraiser for the music department, and after two very big and costly weekends featuring the musical “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” and the 40th reunion of the LHS Show Choir, the music department is in need of funds to help with summer band and choir startup materials for next school year, according to a press release. Featured in the variety show are individual student acts of vocal and instrumental music, plus the Show Choir, Concert Choir, Marching Bulldog Band, and Jazz Band.
