Lapel choir show set for Saturday

The Lapel High School Show Choir will present its annual spring show at 2 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the high school auditorium. This group is celebrating 40 years of entertaining audiences in central Indiana and all around the state. All former members of the group have been invited to participate in both shows.

After a morning practice, the choir will sing and even do a little choreography. A highlight of the show will be a number in which the returning members join forces with this year's group. The 2007-08 group will do a special tribute to the “Swing Choirs of the past” as well as perform music in a wide variety of musical styles.

Sponsors with complimentary passes may trade them for tickets at the door. For others, the admission prices are $4 for adults and $2 for students.

Rummage, auction at Madison Park

Madison Park Church of God will hold a bazaar, rummage and auction from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. The auction will begin at 1 p.m. Proceeds benefit the ministry programs at Madison Park Church of God.

Some of the items for auction include silver tea set, dinnerware, stainless steel fusion cookware, gas grill, exercise equipment, fishing tackle boxes with lures and fishing poles, china dolls, irons with putter, original paintings, antique printers drawers, office equipment, merchant gift certificates, Bobcat rental for weekend, Sam Pierce dealership car care package plus oil and lube change and more.

Rummage and bazaar items include children clothing and toys, household items, tools, holiday decorations, glassware, electronics, flowers, Madison Park Church cookbooks, baked goods, handcrafted items and costume jewelry.

Good’s gives away free ice cream cones Saturday

On Saturday, Good's Candy will host its annual “Free Ice Cream Cones to All Mothers” from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. All mothers will receive an ice cream cone of any flavor.

Good’s famous chocolate fountain will run from noon to 4 p.m.

Good’s is located at 1423 W. 53rd St. Anderson.
