Angel Food Ministries orders due Monday
Angel Food Ministries, a nonprofit, nondenominational organization, offers relief with rising food costs. Groceries are sold in a quantity that can fit into a large-sized box at $30 per unit.
Each month’s menu is different and consists of both fresh and frozen items, with an average retail value of approximately $50, organizers said. To check out the menu for May, visit www.ppchog.org.
Orders are being in the office of Park Place Church of God, 501 College Drive, Anderson, until 3 p.m. Monday. Only cash and food stamps will be accepted for payment today.
Food pickup day is Saturday, May 17, from 11 a.m. until noon. Orders not picked up by noon will be donated to charity.

Meal, events Monday at Rangeline Center
Rangeline Community Center, 1405 N. Rangeline Road, Anderson, will serve turkey manhattan meals from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Monday.
Activities scheduled are as follows: euchre from 1:30 to 4 p.m.; organ music, 4-5:30 p.m.; and bingo from 6 to 8 p.m.
College of Technology to honor John Eddy
The College of Technology at Anderson is holding a retirement open house for John Eddy, who retired in October as special assistant to the assistant dean.
The open house, which is open to the public, is 3 to 5 p.m. Monday at the Anderson location at the Anderson University Flagship Center, 2705 Enterprise Drive, off Interstate 69 at Exit 22.
Eddy worked in various positions at General Motors in Anderson from 1959-98 before joining the College of Technology at Anderson in 1999. At Purdue, he served as a student adviser and location director before becoming special assistant to the assistant dean.
Korean War veterans to be honored
The Pendleton Community Public Library is requesting that Madison County Korean War veterans call Arlene Shannon at (765) 778-7527.
Madison County Korean War veterans will be honored at a reception at the library on Saturday, May 24, at 10 a.m. State Rep. Scott Reske will present each one with an award for service from the Indiana House of Representatives.
The program will also include a panel discussion and will be structured similar to the World War II veterans program in November that was so successful.
