Garden club meets Monday in Alex
Alexandria’s SmallTown Garden Club will meet Monday at the Community Center located at 315 S. Harrison St.
Last month’s presentation was changed at the last minute; therefore, Cottage Gardens will be presented this month by Bonnie Carrel, a Purdue Advanced Master Gardener. Light refreshments will be served at 6:30 p.m., and the program begins at 7 p.m.

Mother-daughter supper Tuesday
Frankton Christian Church will host a mother-daughter salad supper at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Family Life Center. The program, “Bernice, the Cleaning Lady” will be presented by Linda Gilchrist Ministries.
Those attending should bring a large salad to share.
Fish fry planned for First Pentecostal
A Dan’s Fish Fry will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the First Pentecostal Church, 630 W. 53rd St.
Cost is $7.50 for adults; $4 for children 4-11; and children under the age of 3, eat free.
The menu includes fish, tenderloin, cole slaw, baked beans or green beans, bread, dessert and drink.
Carryout and delivery will be available by calling (765) 649-1806 or (765) 278-1840.
Local Briefs run daily and include local nonprofit events, such as dinners, breakfasts, sales. If possible, please provide the information a week in advance.
