World Day of Prayer Service set for Friday
The United Methodist Women of Ford Street United Methodist Church, 925 Ford St., Lapel, will host a community World Day of Prayer Service at 6:30 p.m. Friday in the sanctuary.
World Day of Prayer is a worldwide movement of Christian women of many traditions who come together to observe a common day of prayer each year, and who, in many countries, have a continuing relationship in prayer and service. Throughout the entire day, women all over the world collectively pray, beginning with the first sunrise and ending at the last sunset. The prayers follow the sun’s path around the globe.
The day’s motto is “Informed prayer leads to prayerful action.”
For more information, call the church office at (765) 534-3314.

The next gathering will be Saturday, and the food theme is Mexican.
Cost for the 12-hour scrap is $5. Everyone is asked to bring a side dish to share. There is plenty of scrapbooking space, door prizes and workshops, organizers said.
