Bill Surbaugh of Anderson will serve on the Editorial Board of The Herald Bulletin during the first quarter of 2009.
Each quarter, the editorial board selects one representative from the community to serve on the seven-member board, which decides what position the newspaper should take on important local issues.
Surbaugh is president and owner of Surbaugh and Son, a three-generation real estate brokerage agency in Anderson. He’s a member of the Rotary Club, the advisory board for Indiana Public Radio, the Madison County Community Foundation board and the Maplewood Cemetery board.
Surbaugh’s other experiences include volunteering from 1965 to 1967 with the Peace Corps in Turkey.
