The Indiana Department of Transportation announced Monday the end of construction on the $8.4 million Major Moves road project that patched and resurfaced about 30 miles of Interstate 69.
Since May, crews with Shelly & Sands Inc. had been grinding and repaving Interstate 69 between 116th Street in Fishers and the Indiana 32/67 exit in Daleville. Nighttime lane closures in the area have been lifted, pending INDOT inspections.
Over the past two years, $13 million in Major Moves projects have resurfaced 50 miles of Interstate 69 through Delaware, Grant, Hamilton and Madison counties.
Gov. Mitch Daniels’ Major Moves program, when complete in 2015, will have built nearly $12 billion in critical highway projects.
