Good morning.

It’s 6:30 a.m. Monday and the staff at The Herald Bulletin is getting down to work. We will pursue news throughout the day and will have frequent updates here on our Web site.

Today, the Anderson City Council will hold a special meeting at 5 p.m. to discuss the creation of an employee health review commission, as well as an ordinance to fix the salaries and benefits of meter readers and employees in the water and water pollution control departments. Some Madison County residents wonder why they are getting hit with higher property tax bills. And CJ Boots Casket Co. will open its new location in downtown Anderson. And start thinking about a news person of the year, I’ll tell you how to vote.
