11:46 p.m.: Unified Services Group to grow with $850,000 investment

 The Herald Bulletin

Personal contact in an industry that thrives on automated attendants is the basis for the steady growth of Unified Services Group, President Richard Mousty believes. With 90 employees at present, the company is set to add 9,000 square feet to its 13,000-square-foot facility at 3131 E. 67th St. in Anderson. The project represents an investment of $850,000.

Fifteen jobs will be created by the company initially and it hopes to add 80 jobs within the next five years. Fredericks Inc. is the general contractor.

The 11-year-old company offers employee benefit plan administration to nearly 120 employer groups throughout Indiana and the Midwest.

Mousty is proud that Unified Services Group has reached its full capacity for the current building and is undergoing expansion. “USG moved to Anderson in 2004 and this solidified what we believed all along; that we have a growing presence in the city and are proud to be part of it. We feel we have a great group of employees and we strive to create a work culture that is family friendly and team oriented,” he said in a press release.

Anderson Mayor Kevin S. Smith said in the press release, “The success enjoyed by Unified Service Group is a result of hard work and dedication by Richard Mousty, president; Faith Hailey, vice president; and their employees. The investment in Anderson is a demonstration of their faith in the future of this city, the quality of the area’s employee base and is a welcome addition to the diversity of our business base.”

Mousty explained that USG is a third-party administrator that processes medical, dental, and vision claims for self-insured group health care plans. “We are truly focused on providing excellent customer service,” he said. “We like to conduct business the old-fashioned way, with the personal touch of receptionists answering the phones, not automated attendants. We also assign personal contacts for each of our clients so that they are not faced with speaking to a different customer service representative each time they call. I am personally involved in the day-to-day activities of our company and every client we have knows that they can call and personally speak to me. We believe that personal touch gives us an edge over our competition.

“This is our community and we are excited to have the opportunity to employ so many wonderful people from this city and its surrounding communities. We intend to maintain and grow our company in this area for several years to come. We anxiously anticipate continued growth and believe this is a great city to conduct business in and look forward to many more years in Anderson.”
