CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. — The new owner owner of the Noblesville Daily Times said it plans to resume publishing.

The Paper of Motgomery County has purchased the Noblesville Daily Times, according to the Indianapolis Star. South Bend-based Schurz Communications shut down the five-days-a-week newspaper and dismissed 24 full-time employees on Aug. 30.

A group of 12 Montgomery County residents including State Sen. Phil Boots, R-Crawfordsville, own the Paper and Tim Timmons serves as publisher.

No information was available on when the Times would resume publishing or how often it would publish. Former reporter Rebecca Sandlin was hired as managing editor.
