Anderson Police Department's Accident Fatality Team is investigating a single vehicle crash that left Steven A. Baker, 30

of Anderson, with serious injuries, after he crashed his 1983 Honda motor cycle in the 300 block of Scatterfield Road early Friday morning.  

Baker received treatment at St. Johns Medical Center before being airlifted to Methodist Hospital of Indianapolis. Police were called to the scene of the crash around 1:24 a.m. Baker was traveling west on Indiana 32, (Third Street) making a left hand turn southbound onto Scatterfield Road when he lost control of his motorcycle, sliding several feet before coming to a stop.

Toxicology tests are pending to determine if drugs or alcohol might have contributed to Baker's crash.
