Inspiration banquet at Countryside Manor
Countryside Manor Health & Living Community, 205 Marine Drive, Anderson, invites the community to a banquet encouraging chaplains, pastors and volunteers in the community at 7 p.m. Monday.
Dr. Stephen Swihart, founder of Master Plan Ministry and a graduate of Ashland Theological Seminary, will be the guest speaker.

Special County Council meeting Tuesday
A special meeting of the Madison County Council will be held at the Madison County Government Center at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Council Chambers.
The council will consider an ordinance to repeal and rescind the county economic development income tax (CEDIT), impose an additional county option income tax (COIT) to provide additional property tax relief by way of an increased homestead credit and impose an additional COIT for public safety.
NRA official to be at Fall Creek Valley
Sandra Froman, the immediate past president of the National Rifle Association, plans to be at Fall Creek Valley Conservation Club between 9:15 and 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. Local Friends of NRA members invite the public to come meet Froman. Her Madison County visit was originally scheduled for Tuesday.
Her visit is to discuss gun issues in the upcoming election and to highlight the governor’s support of the Second Amendment.
Library to host government contracting seminar
