Anderson University will sponsor the OrangeHaus Music Business Camp, July 15-19. The camp, designed for high school students ages 14-18, will allow students to have one-on-one interactions with some of the best talent in the Christian music industry.

The experience will help students discover what it takes to be a working professional in the music business. Developed by the music business faculty at Anderson University, the summer program offers 3 1/2 days of classes in record production, artist development, songwriting and music marketing.

The camp, taught on the Anderson University campus, hosts instructors who are award-winning producers, engineers, songwriters, artist managers, booking agents and label execs responsible for the success of artists such as Switchfoot, Newsboys, David Crowder Band, Nichole Nordeman, Mat Kearney, MercyMe, Audio Adrenaline and Israel Houghton.

Instructors during the OrangeHaus Music Business Camp include Charlie Peacock, a Grammy-winning producer who was named Producer of the Year three times at the GMA Dove Awards; Sam Chappell, the senior vice president of business affairs and development at Integrity Music Media; and Richie Biggs, mastering engineer at Runway Network in Nashville, who has numerous engineering credits that include Switchfoot, Newsboys, Phil Keaggy and Petra.

Also instructing are Dr. Rebecca Chappell, professor of music at Anderson University, where she teaches music business and woodwinds as well as supervises the music business internship program; Dr. Mark Murray, professor of music at Anderson University who teaches music business and trumpet; and James Hodgin, owner and artist manager for Dryve Artist Management in Nashville, who represents Christian artists such as Thousand Foot Krutch, Bethany Dillon, Shawn McDonald and Dave Barnes.
