ANDERSON — Power was lost to more than 1,000 Anderson Light and Power customers after a problem surfaced at a substation on Tuesday.
Bruce Boerner, Anderson Light and Power superintendent, said the problem was caused by the Park Road substation. At about 3:20 p.m. power was cut for about 1,400 customers in Edgewood and on Anderson’s west side. He said power was restored at about 4:35 p.m.
Boerner said the cause of the outage is still under investigation.
When power was restored, a transformer on Oakwood Drive malfunctioned and about 10 customers lost electricity. Power was restored to those customers at about 5:30 p.m., Boerner said.
