Published June 22, 2008 05:30 pm - Emergency personnel were sent to Mounds State Park's pool on the report of a near drowning. 5:30 p.m.: Swimming mishap reported at Mounds Park Emergency medical responders were sent to the swimming pool at Mounds State Park about 5 p.m. Sunday on a report of a near drowning.
According to police radio traffic, a female in her 20s had been under water and was having trouble breathing. Lifeguards had her out of the water and she was conscious, according to initial reports. Further details of the incident or the woman's condition were unavailable.
