LAPEL — A Noblesville man was injured early Wednesday when his car struck a house located off Indiana 13 near Lapel.
The Indiana State Police, Pendleton Post, was notified of a personal injury crash at approximately 2:06 a.m.
Michael A. Robinson, 34, was northbound on Indiana 13 near 400 south when he lost control of his 1995 Chevrolet Beretta, State Trooper Jeremy Mason said in a state police news release. Mason said Robinson went off the west side of the highway and came back across the road with his vehicle rolling over into a house at 4146 Ind. 13.
There were two occupants in the house at the time and they were not injured, according to the news release.
“Had it not been for Mr. Robinson wearing his seat belt this would have indeed been a fatal crash,” Mason said.
Robinson was flown to Wishard Hospital in Indianapolis. Hospital officials said he was in serious condition in the intensive care unit late Wednesday.
Mason said the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
