12:24 p.m.: Mallard Lake landfill meeting set

— The Indiana Department of Environmental Management will hold a public informational session concerning the Mallard Lake landfill on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Anderson Public Library, 111 E 12th St.
IDEM staffers, including a geologist, engineer and permit manager, will be on hand to discuss environmental regulations for the construction and operation of landfills and the Mallard Lake landfill proposal. IDEM will provide maps and diagrams for public review and fact sheets for citizens to take home.
