4:01 p.m.: State tourism launches new Web site

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — The Indiana Office of Tourism Development has launched a new Web site to promote three in-state activities.

They activities are outdoor adventure, motorcycle rides and college town visits.

The new site — LiveIndiana.net — is geared toward younger travelers who use the Internet as their main resource for information. The site features travel ideas and chances to win prizes.

Tourism officials say outdoor recreation is a top reason why people visit Indiana. The Web site could help people plan trips. The college town blog will allow visitors to discuss the best places to visit in university towns.

The motorcycle section of LiveIndiana.net could be popular among riders coming to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for a motorcycle race in September.
