Gov. Mitch Daniels said he will sign legislation to bring slot-machine gaming to Indiana's horse-racing tracks.
Daniels, who previously said he would veto any expansion of gambling, said during a press conference in Daleville that he will sign the legislation passed around midnight Sunday.
“It’s not perfect. It’s a compromise,” Daniels said. “I understand the impact for Anderson and Madison County, but this was a statewide issue that affects all of Indiana.”
