7:27 p.m. Street bid near track OK'd

The Anderson Redevelopment Commission on Tuesday approved a bid from GDI Construction for work on Virgil Cook Boulevard by the expanding Hoosier Park casino. The Indianapolis-based company bid $3.1 million for the project.
The commission also approved a lease agreement with First Realty for the parking lot at the Flagship Enterprise Center to be used by Affiliated Computer Services.
The commission tabled a contract from Sophia Holdings for the former General Motors Plant 20 site on 38th Street east of Scatterfield Road. Linda Dawson, director of economic development, said the city was waiting for additional information from GM.
