Keep the umbrella handy today as showers and storms are possible. Right now, the heaviest rain will fall across the southern half of the state, highs today are forecast in the lower and middle 50s. Another round of showers and storms is in the forecast for tonight and early Friday. The front triggering the rain chances will move south later Friday, but so will a drop in temperature. Highs on Friday will fall into the 40s. Drier weather arrives for the start of the weekend. Expect partly cloudy skies and highs in the 50s on Saturday.
