City clarifies insurance rates

Priser’s office plans to have educational meetings for city employees concerned about their new rates, and those with questions can contact the Personnel Department at (765) 648-6141.

In other City Council business:

— The council elected Councilman Rick Muir as council president and Councilman David Eicks as president pro tempore.

— The council approved an amendment to the salary ordinance placing a maintenance person under the city court’s budget instead of the Anderson Police Department’s budget.

— The council reappointed Carolyn Scott and Rick Zachary to the Redevelopment Commission.
