Michael Latchaw, area manager of E&B Paving Inc., has been elected chairman of The Chamber of Commerce for Anderson & Madison County board of directors for 2009.

Also elected Chamber officers for the new year were Marcy DeShong, president, Midwest Luxury Baths, Inc., chairman-elect; Brian E. Earley, vice president and area retail leader for Anderson and Hamilton counties, KeyBank, secretary/treasurer; Charles E. Staley, president, Flagship Enterprise Center, and special assistant for engagement, Anderson University, vice chairman, and Michael D. Austin, partner with the law firm of Hulse Lacey Hardacre Austin and Shine, PC, immediate past chairman.

Elected to new three-year terms on the Chamber board were Marlene R. Carey, vice president of corporate communications and foundation, Saint John’s Health System; David Kleinhenn, president, Kleinhenn Company, Inc.; Nancy A. Moneyhun, co-owner, Moneyhun’s Fine Gifts & Furnishings; Michael L. Montgomery, partner, K. R. Montgomery & Associates; Brenda A. Murr, co-owner, Mermaid Pool, Spa & Patio, and Quinn Ricker, director of operations, Ricker Oil Company, Inc.

Elected to one-year terms on the Chamber board for 2009 were Lennon C. Brown, assistant superintendent, Anderson Community School Corp.; Jeffrey M. Smith, general manager of racing, Hoosier Park Racing & Casino, and Amy Winter, circulation director, The Herald Bulletin.

Continuing to serve on the Chamber board will be Gregory K. Betts, vice president, M. K. Betts Engineering & Contracting, Inc; J. David Eckstein, owner, House of Trophies & Gifts; Richard L. May, CPA, J. P. Kane & Company, LLC;  Brian A. Miller, president, West Electric, Inc., Osborne J. Morgan, Anderson region president, STAR Financial Bank, and Georgeann Whitworth, vice president, small business banking, National City.

Ex officio and honorary members of the Chamber board include Ralph L. Day, executive director, Anderson/Madison County Visitors & Convention Bureau; Donald E. Henderson, president, Pendleton Town Council; Patty Kuhn, executive officer, Anderson/Madison County Association of REALTORS; Kris Ockomon, mayor, City of Anderson; John M. Richwine, Madison County commissioner; Thomas J. Snyder, president, Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana, and Rob Sparks, executive director, Corporation for Economic Development.

Keith J. Pitcher continues as president and chief executive officer of The Chamber of Commerce for Anderson & Madison County.
