Citizens in the United States are suffering from obesity. Who really cares? Everywhere you dine, meals are served that are twice the size a normal person can eat. Senior citizens find it even worse. This is a waste of food, when there are many people in the world (and even in Anderson) who are starving. It’s a waste of money, when we are in financial crisis. It’s absolute irresponsibility on the part of everyone in the restaurant business. Why can’t we be sensible?

I would appreciate getting a meal more conducive to good nutrition and being able to clean my plate. When I take leftovers home, I usually end up disposing of them, because they are seldom satisfactory when reheated. Probably the heavy eaters don’t agree with my philosophy, but how many pounds are they overweight?
