Letter: Let’s move back start of school year

— I do not agree with the school year always starting in the middle of August. Education is great but you need family time with your children and we don’t seem to have enough time for the kids in the summer anymore.
Why can’t we go back to after Labor Day? That way you still have summer with your family. Don’t take so much time off in the school year.
I just wanted to voice my opinion, for family and education. The kids need family times more than ever now.
