The Herald Bulletin, this past week, had front page coverage of the Ollie Dixon court process. It was my opinion that these charges would be dropped. It took the grand jury five hours to determine there was probable cause to charge Dixon. A June 4 two-paragraph story in The Herald Bulletin stated, “Dixon is scheduled to stand trial at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20.” Isn’t this strange, for a simple trial for having a concealed .45-caliber handgun in jail plus a DUI confirmed charge? It appears something is rotten in Anderson.
