People born into a free society often take freedom for granted. That being said, many in a free society do not fully understand how precious freedom really is. There’s something born into man that creates the desire for freedom. It is such a prized possession, and once it is taken from an individual, then that heart will mourn in travail. This can be equally said for a nation.
9/11 set many things in motion. This event allowed Congress to create whole new departments and agencies at the expense of liberties. A government must have constraints, or it will become so powerful as to totally dominate the populace and private institutions. This puts a society on dangerous ground.
Since 9/11 our society has been gradually conditioned to become more docile. Fear was generated, and now intrusions are becoming much more acceptable to accommodate “so called” increased security. This toleration cowers in the shadow of the character that built this nation. Some decades ago the rugged individualism spirit of America would never have accepted the infringements cast upon today’s society. Increasingly, the government is dominating and running lives more than ever. It seems that the pace has even quickened with more infringements on the horizon.
One who believes that 9/11 happened as reported needs to carefully research this event, and then one will realize that it’s not so. The war on terror was purposely created, among other things, to take away your rights and subvert your nation. This plan appears to be working.
