Thanks for helping with Tradition in Anderson
Thanks to everyone who helped make this last Tradition In Anderson series for The Clear Skies Project, which was a total benefit for the Paramount Theatre Centre.
To Janis Bowling at The Herald Bulletin; Jessica Carson and the RSVPs at the Paramount Centre; John Colip for the terrific sound and stage; Howard Smith and his behind-the-scenes work. We couldn’t do it without each of you. You are valuable to us and to the Paramount Theatre Centre.
Norma Smith, my partner-in-tune, does a tremendous job as emcee for our concerts along with producing and directing. To Doug Anderson of Ernie Haase & Signature Sound and his two little girls, Isabel and Emma, who delighted the audience as they sang together as a family team. To Sherri Contos, Marly Hardy-Snyder and Cheryl Hardy who blended their voices as in the days of the McGuires and Andrew Sisters. To Dr. David Steele, who has been our official photographer for many years.
As we conclude the Tradition In Anderson series for this project, Norma and I owe a great big thank-you to the sponsors who underwrote the expenses. To Leland Franklin and WHBU for live coverage and to James Warner and his Sunday program mentions. And, finally, thanks to Anderson and central Indiana and a few who flew in from other states to attend the concert. You are the dear hearts and gentle people whom I play about.
If you want future concerts with George Smith at the Grande Page Organ, please let us know.
George S. Smith
