Rent prices too high for Anderson

— Landlords, wake up! This letter goes out to the landlords in our town. I just cannot see where you think people have the money to pay what you think are fair prices for rentals. I was so taken back the other day when I opened the paper and saw someone asking $1,245 a month for rent.
Do you not realize this is Anderson, not Fishers or Carmel! It is no wonder there are so many rentals sitting empty! Lower your rent and see what happens. Just because a person can’t afford $600 or plus in rent does not mean they are bad people or that they will tear your property up.
I just feel like you all need to think before you ask the prices you do, and look at the bigger picture. For the most part, people around here do not have that kind of money for a house payment let alone just for rent.
