Family outraged at delay in Delph trial

What an outrage to my family, the citizens of Madison County, and the judicial system. It is unbelievable that the defense (team) for Rex Delph needs more time to prepare.
The defense asked for the first continuance Dec. 14, 2004. Three more after that. Now that the court of appeals mandates a 128-day limit to have the trial in, Judge Spencer allows the defense team still more time. Why can’t this be accomplished in the time set by the state? Is this the best Judge Spencer and the prosecutors can do?  How many others slip through the cracks, or is this business as usual? This is not a seat belt ticket; he’s charged with two counts of murder, one Class A felony arson, and two counts of felony murder.
I had always thought, no way this could get screwed up. I hope no other potential criminals hear of this; who knows, they could get away with ... .
We have waited for a trial for four years. Looks to be almost five, before a trial or another continuance.
