    ANDERSON — Two people sent Anderson police on chases Tuesday night in separate incidents that originated as smaller crimes, and one man was still missing Tuesday night. “If that guy would stayed there, the least he could have done was give his side of the story,” said Sgt.   • Man in critical condition after rescue from burning house
    ANDERSON­ — A 59-year-old man was in critical but stable condition Tuesday afternoon, hours after Anderson firefighters pulled him unconscious from his burning home.
    Larry Neff, 240 S. Scatterfield Road, was found lying beside his bed shortly after firefighters arrived to battle the structure fire inside Neff’s home.

    ANDERSON — Two men surrendered to police after an hour-long standoff in a west side Anderson home Monday afternoon. Anderson police on the scene indicated that the men were believed to have been involved in a shoot-out nearby. Shortly before 1 p.m., officers established a perimeter around the home at 2040 Beverly Court with the two men inside.

    ANDERSON, Ind.­ — Former Chesterfield police officer Joseph Brown is accused of being at the center of an alleged scheme that the state says plundered $115,391.44 in town money.
