Palin apologizes after Ind. book signing event

The Associated Press

NOBLESVILLE — Sarah Palin has apologized to hundreds of people who waited for hours in a light rain in central Indiana for a book signing event but didn't end up getting her signature.

The former Alaska governor said in a Friday post on her Facebook site that she was told about what happened in Noblesville on Thursday night and was "working on a solution for those who were left behind."

Hundreds greeted Palin with cheers at a Borders store in the Indianapolis suburb of Noblesville. The Indianapolis Star reports a chorus of boos erupted as she left and people shouted for her to stay.

Palin's tour is promoting her book "Going Rogue."

Palin had visited the city 20 miles north of Indianapolis last year as the Republican vice presidential candidate.
